
2019 Regional Emergency Management Summit
As emergencies and disasters are becoming more complex, the need for collaboration across multiple disciplines and jurisdictions is crucial. Learning how each group works and breaking the silos to collaborate in preparedness efforts will set the path for response and recovery efforts in the future. The Near Southwest Preparedness Alliance (NSPA) is partnering with The Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) to bring together emergency response professionals from local governments, state agencies, non-profit and non-governmental organizations, hospitals, healthcare organizations and institutes of higher education for a regional emergency management summit.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 21 from 9:00am-4:30 pm. The agenda is packed with presenters from a wide variety of backgrounds, focusing on the work you do each day to help yourself and others. Topics will include:
