Course Announcement
Did you know a 2010 report by the National Commission on Children and Disasters identified a training gap for emergency responders, first receivers, and emergency management personnel that reduced their effectiveness in responding to pediatric patients and their unique needs/considerations? For more information about the course, you can click the course flyer below or click here to register!
At the time of registration, you will need to have an FBI Student ID Number (SID,) so you’ll want to take care of this step first! The flyer has the link on how to obtain that number, but we have also put the link below, for your convenience. It takes just a minute to obtain a number and we encourage saving this number in your phone or somewhere familiar. All FEMA / DHS training now requires an FBI SID number, for security purposes, so it’s likely you will need it for future training.
When you click on the TEEX link below, (or cut and paste the link from the flyer into your browser,) it will first take you to the TEEX Student Portal where you will have to create your account as a “NEW USER.” Once you’ve set that up, it will allow you to register for the PEDS class, where you will be required to enter your FBI SID number.
FEMA / SID Number Students must register and bring a copy of their SID number to class. Register online: https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid
